Daniel Rogov, Israel's most famous wine writer, passed away on the morning of September 7th 2011.
Despite a quick but serious illness, Rogov continued to work until the end posting to his wine lovers discussion forum.
Daniel Rogov was the wine and restaurant critic of firstly the Jerusalem Post, Israel's leading English newspaper and then of Haaretz, the quality newspaper of Israel. He was author of two annual books: Rogov's Guide To Israeli Wines and Rogov's Guide To World Kosher Wines. He was Israel's pre-eminent critic on food and wine.
His wit, warmth, professionalism and knowledge will be sadly missed.
