Selfridges, the most famous store in West London, with a small but very exclusive wine shop, has listed two award winning wines produced by Israel's Carmel Winery.
The wines are:
Kayoumi Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Upper Galilee 2005
Appellation Petite Sirah Old Vines, Judean Hills 2006.
The Kayoumi Cabernet Sauvignon won the gold medal for the best Cabernet Sauvignon in Israel, two years in a row, in the Eshkol Hazahav Competition. This is the premier wine tasting competition in Israel.
The Appellation Petite Sirah was recently made Wine of the Month, by the prestigious English wine magazine, Decanter.
Carmel Winery was founded in 1882 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, is Israel's largest and most historic winery.
