>> Yatir Forest at Nobu

Visitors to the prestigious Nobu Restaurant in London will now be able to enjoy Yatir Forest 2006, the premier wine of Yatir Winery.

Nobu, owned by a consortium including actor Robert de Niro and the Myriad Restaurant Group, is the creation of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, who has succeeded revolutionizing Japanese cuisine. The first Nobu Restaurant opened in New York. The first Nobu in London opened in 1997 and it became the first Asian restaurant to receive a Michelin Star.

Yatir Forest 2006 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Petit Verdot and 12% Merlot. This particular wine was given a score of 91 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate and 94 points by Israeli wine critic, Daniel Rogov.

Yatir Winery is situated at Tel Arad in the northeastern Negev Desert. Its vineyards lie in Yatir Forest, Israel’s largest planted forest, in the southern Judean Hills, at an elevation of up to 900 meters above sea level. Yatir Winery was ranked as Israel’s second best winery by Rogov’s Guide To Israeli Wines 2010. The winery was also awarded three to four stars in Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Wine Book 2010.
